Swimming is a great and healthy way to exercise. It is a low-impact cardio workout that uses all of the body’s muscles and, as an extra bonus, a sport that is not at all prone to injury. Would you like to try working out in the water? At Nationaal Zwemcentrum de Tongelreep (in the south of Eindhoven) and ir. Ottenbad (in the north of Eindhoven) you have the opportunity to swim laps or join our swimming and exercise lessons.
Different types of lessons
It doesn’t matter if you are a trained swimmer or a beginner. For some exercise lessons, like Aquapower and Aquaspinning, you don’t even need a swimming certificate, because they take place in shallow water. Other lessons are reserved to skilled swimmers like Aquabootcamp and Aquarobics. If you have a busy life, it can be very relaxing and good for your health to swim laps on regular basis. At our swimming pools, you can swim at your convenience; in de morning before you go to work, on Saturday or Sunday or in the evening. And if you still have some energy left, you can always add an exercise lesson to your workout for free, because you pay the entrance fee per visit.
Swimming lessons for adults
Are you not being able to swim and do you feel like you are the only one? Fret not. Learning to swim as an adult is not a problem at the Tongelreep and ir. Ottenbad. And you don’t have to worry about joining pre-schoolers either, as there are separate swimming lessons for adults, where you can obtain the full swimming ABC or improve your technique. In addition to swimming lessons for adults we also have swimming lessons exclusively for women, as well as lessons for children with a disability and lessons for teenagers.
